Eager For EOU

Eager For EOU

The Men's Wrestling Program opened up this past weekend as they traveled to Evergreen State to set the bar for where they were at to begin their season.

Head Coach Daviaire Dickerson emphasized that "Our main focus is conditioning and technique." This match highlighted areas needing improvement for the Vikings as Dickerson stated "We fought hard and a couple opportunities to pull away with a win, but we were not in shape to capitalize and ended up losing a back and forth dual."

Dickerson has had his fair share of successes and expect the same level of professionalism from his players. Although opening weekend did not go according to plans, Head Coach Daviaire Dickerson highlighted Abel Acosta as he was able to collect his first collegiate victory. " He was tested early got tired, but was able to stick to the game plan and get the win" stated Dickerson.

Beginning a season on a loss can leave a bitter taste, but Dickerson is optimistic moving forward having this to say regarding the teams first showing "We are not going to allow this first competition too carry much weight. It was a great learning experience"

BBCC prepares for their first tournament of the season as they travel to La Grand, OR to compete in the EOU Mountaineer Open. The program is eager to have this opportunity for "getting some much needed mat time" expressed by Dickerson.
