Lady Vikes Drop Both to Knights

BBCC Softball took on the Wenatchee Valley Knights on Tuesday April 25th at home hoping to right the ship. The Lady Vikes struggles have stemmed from their defensive play and Tuesday was no different. Game one was a tight ball game until the final inning where 6 Lady Vike errors resulted in 10 unearned runs coming around the score to make the game out of reach. Rebecca Carson and Maya Valdez both swung the bat well each going 2-3 with a home run a piece along with Chloe Pierce chipping in with two hits in the 21-7 loss.
The late inning meltdown seemed to carry through to game two as the Lady Vikes could not seem to get anything going offensively along with committing four errors on the defensive side of the ball. With as many hits as errors the Lady Vikes were unable to get anything going and fell bay a score of 12-1 in a 5 inning 10 run mercy rule.
The Lady Vikes will travel to Yakima Valley this Friday to take on the Yaks followed by hosting the Columbia Basin Hawks on Saturday for a double header.
