BBCC Softball traveled to Yakima, WA for a mid-season NWAC Crossover tourney on April 15th and 16th where they were able to compete against two Northern Region and two Sourthern Region opponents.

They began their weekend by taking on the Olympic CC Rangers which was a back and forth battle that came down to the wire. The Lady Vikes offense was firing on all cylinders collecting 15 hits with all nine starters chipping in with at least one knock. Bailee Leatherwood led the way going 3-4 with 2 RBI's and scoring one run while Chloe Pierce, Rebecca Carson and Maya Valdez all added two hits of their own. Unfortunately, Olympic was able to strike for two in the bottom half of the 6th to walk off the Lady Vikes by a score of 11-10.

Due to technical difficulties the stats for game two versus Mount Hood CC were unable to be retrieved. Final score Mount Hood: 12, Big Bend: 1.

After a rough ending to the first day of the Crossover Tourney, the Lady Vikes took on a tough opponent in Southwest Oregon CC. BBCC's offense failed to show up like they did in game one and were only able to collect 3 hits, but the defensive miscues were the tale of this game. 5 errors by the Lady Vikes allowed for SWOCC to compile 17 runs over the course of 5 innings resulting in a 17-1 loss for the Lady Vikes.

Hoping to wrap up the weekend on a high note, the Lady Vikes took on Everett CC. BBCC's offense responded after a quiet game one as they rallied for 9 hits and 10 runs over 5 innings. Bailee Leatherwood continued her stellar weekend going 2-3 with 5 RBI's including a homerun, while Maya Valdez also collected two hits and scored twice. Unfortunately, the Lady Vikes pitching could not hold back the high powered Trojan offense as Everett was able to score 21 runs on 18 hits to defeat the Lady Vikes 21-10. d
