Warriors Silence BBCC Bats

BBCC softball took on the Walla Walla Warriors on Tuesday April 4th at home for two hoping to find their stride on both sides of the ball.

Game one was an uphill battle as the Warriors jumped out to an early 5-0 lead before the game was delayed for an hour and a half due to a hail storm. Coming out of the delay the Lady Vikes showed signs of life striking for two runs making it a 3 run ball game with 3 innings to play. BBCC pitching was able to throw up three consecutive zeros before the Warrior offense scratched five across in the top half of the seventh to secure a 10-2 victory in favor of the Warriors. Kaitlyn Rosenburg collected two hits in the Viking loss while the rest of the Viking offense struggled to get going.

Game two started out in favor of the Lady Vikes with BBCC striking in the bottom half of the first inning showing signs of life. BBCC pitching was able to hold the Warrior offense until the 4th and 5th where Walla Walla was able to put up crooked number while the Lady Vikes were unable to respond resulting in another 10-2 loss. Rebecca Carson had a stellar game at the plate going 2-3 with a homerun and a double along with Maya Valdez chipping in with a solo homerun.
