Leatherwood Signs at EOU

The first signee of the 2022 Lady Vikes Softball team has committed to play at Eastern Oregon University, an NAIA program that competes in the Cascade Collegiate Conference located in La Grande, OR.

Leatherwood has played parts of two seasons as a Lady Vike including a shortened COVID-19 season where she has hit .435 with 8 home runs and 39 RBI's over 33 games in a Viking uniform. Not only has Gates been a force on the offensive side of the ball but on the defensive end as well. As a catcher she has shut down her opponents run game by throwing out 50% of base stealers to go along with her .951 fielding percentage.
