Tale of Two Halves Sinks Vikings

Tale of Two Halves Sinks Vikings

The Big Bend Community College Vikings basketball team played even with host Wenatchee Valley College in the second half, but the first half was not as kind to the Vikings, as they fell 90-81 in NWAC East action on Wednesday (February 22).

The Vikings would keep their deficit at a manageable number throughout the contest, but were unable to pull ahead of the host Knights. For the Vikings, sophomore DJ Frye continued his stellar play of late, finishing with 21 points. Fellow sophomore Karon Sears netted 13 points, while sophomore Keenan Miller and freshman Jeremy Devoe rounded out the double-figure scoring with 11. Donato Joseph led the Knights in the win with 21 points.

The Vikings (4-20 overall, 2-13 NWAC East) will play their final game of the season on Saturday (February 25), as they travel to Blue Mountain College (12-12 overall, 5-8 NWAC East). Tip is scheduled for 4:00pm, following the women's contest. As always, stay updated on all-things-Viking through FacebookTwitter, and Instagram, as well as via the NWACSports Network's livestream video platform, where available.
