BBCC Takes 3 of 4 from Knights

Coming off of two shutouts by BBCC pitching, the Vikes planned to add to the win column. Hayden Schooler took the bump hoping to win the series. Schooler tossed 6 innings of one hit ball while striking out 8 before handing it off to James MacRae who finished it off with three shutout innings to extend the shutout streak to 31 consecutive innings. With BBCC pitching taking care of business, the Viking offense did not need much. Jett Nelson, Parker Plato and Kalia Agustin all chipped in with two hits while Heath Hachkowski and Kyler Nilson both drove in two setting the Vikes up for a 6-0 victory in game one.

Brett Nemechek was handed the ball in game two and surrendered 5 runs over 2 1/3 innings creating an uphill battle for the Viking offense who was facing Wenatchee's ace. Heath Hachkowski was a the offensive standout as he collected two hits and drove in the lone Viking run. Zach Engh wrapped up the game for BBCC tossing 4 1/3 of shutout baseball. After it was all said and done, the lack of offensive production set the tone for game two as the Vikes dropped the series finale by a score of 8-1.
