Two Pitching Gems Carry Vikes

BBCC headed down to Wenatchee Valley to take on the Knights on Wednesday April 26th for a double dip. Hunter Gibson was handed the ball for game one and took care of business tossing yet another 9 inning shutout taking the pressure off of the Viking offense. Gibson surrendered just two hits while punching out 7 and giving the bullpen a break for game one. Parker Plato collected two hits and scored the two Viking runs. Heath Hachkowski and Jett Nelson were responsible for driving in Plato to lead the Vikes to a 2-0 game one win. 

Looking to get thier first sweep of the season the Vikes took a different approach in game to with having Heath Hachkowski start on the bump as well as serve as the designated hitter. Hachkowski threw a scoreless first then handed it off to Brayden Weatherman who threw 4 scoreless who then handed it off to James MacRae who followed suit tossing another 4 innings of shut out baseball. with the pitching rolling the Vikes needed one big hit and it came from Ben Schnurman who hit a bases loaded double which scored three resulting in a 3-0 victory for the Vikes. 

The Vikes host Wenatchee at home on Saturday April 29th for two, come out and support the Vikes.
