Vikes Complete Sweep
Coming off of two wins at home versus Blue Mountain CC the Vikes headed to Pendleton, OR to finish up their first conference series looking to complete a four game sweep.
Devyn Hernandez got the call and threw a 7 inning complete game shutout while striking out 3 as the Vikes took game three of the series by a score of 11-0. Austin Bunn continued his offensive tear with another two hit game, while Kai Jones cashed in with 3 RBI's leading the Vikings to a solid victory getting one game closer to a series sweep.
Zakaia Michaels was handed the ball for game four and decided to give the bullpen the day off following suit throwing a 9 inning complete game giving up 1 run while striking out 3 and not walking a batter. Michaels pitched efficiently with his defense backing him the whole way wrapping up the game with a rare triple play. Kalia Agustin led the way offensively with 3 hits and 2 RBI's, while Jett Nelson added two hits and Dalton Miller capped it off going 2-3 with a three-run home run resulting in a 9-1 victory as the Vikes moving them into first place in the Eastern Region being the only undefeated team in conference play.
