Sidney Dickerson was named the Big Bend Community College's new Director of Student Programs in September 2023, and is in her first year representing women's athletics at Big Bend Community College.

 

Prior to her current role, Sidney served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Student Development at Midland University in Fremont, NE. She developed the Warrior Skills program and provided life skills programming to 33 athletics teams assisting in the holistic development of the student-athletes. In this position, she hosted a yearly Equity and Inclusion Summit, Warrior Leadership Academy, and numerous workshops in the areas of personal enhancement, social responsibility, leadership, and career development. In this role, she also took the lead on eligibility and compliance, ensuring that all 33 teams were eligible to compete at the NAIA level.

 

Sidney earned a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and Psychology from Wichita State University and a Master of Education in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Kansas. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Performance Psychology from Grand Canyon University.
