BBCC Basketball Season Comes to a Close
Women's Basketball faced off versus the Wenatchee Valley Knights this past Saturday at the Devries Activity Center in Moses Lake. The Lady Vikes battled hard for the first three quarters but were outscored by 11 points in the final quarter resulting in a nine point loss with a score of 67-58. Camy Balderree led the Lady Vike offense with 16 points on 6-12 shooting and 4 three pointers while grabbing 6 rebounds. Ambra Hacker and Kaitlyn Callahan also put together solid performances with Callahan dropping 12 points and 6 rebounds while Hacker scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
The Lady Vikes finished up their season by hosting the North Idaho Cardinals on Wednesday March 9th. This game came down to the wire but the Lady Vikes shooting struggles proved to be the difference maker as BBCC fell by a score of 68-61. Camy Balderree was once again the top scorere for the Lady Vikes with 15 points on another solid 5-10 shooting night while collecting 8 rebounds while Morgan Rushton dropped 14 points on a perfect 6-6 shooting stint while grabbing 7 rebounds along with Kaitlyn Callahan posting 14 points and 4 rounds.

The Men took on a difficult team in Wenatchee Valley on Saturday March 5th. The Runnin' Vikes had one of the toughest shooting nights of the season going 23-80 from the floor totaling 28% while Wenatchee shot 59% from the floor making the mountain even steeper. Keenan Miller led the offense with 25 points along with KaRon Sears adding 14 points and 4 rebounds while DJ Frye chipped in with 12 points and 8 rebounds but this was not enough to overcome the sharp shooting Knights as BBCC fell by a score of 87-67.
The final game of the season was played at home against the North Idaho Cardinals where it was a back and forth battle. After leading by four at the half the Cardinals turned it on and outscored the Vikings by 12 in the second half defeating BBCC by a score of 91-83. KaRon Sears was the top scorer with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, Keenan Miller scored 18 points and dished out 2 assists and Rocco McMakin added 14 points and on efficient 5-6 shooting to wrap up the Runnin' Vikes season.
