Lady Vikes Fall to #3 Ranked Treasure Valley CC on Tough Road Trip
The Big Bend Lady Vikes embarked on their longest road trip of the season, traveling to Ontario, OR, to face off against the #3 ranked team in the NWAC, Treasure Valley Community College. Despite their efforts, BBCC struggled to get their offense going, making it difficult to keep pace with Treasure Valley's high-powered attack. The Lady Vikes dropped three straight sets by identical scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-18.
Camryn Birch led the Lady Vikes' offense with 6 kills, while Audrey Wellhausen contributed 5 in the hard-fought loss. Although BBCC showed moments of strong play, they were unable to overcome the well-rounded Chukar offense. Head Coach Alexa Moser had this to say regarding the loss.

Moser also reflected on their week of preparation in hindsight stating.
"Our focus this week in practice has been on us. What we can control on our side of the net. First ball touches, bettering the ball with every contact and then terminating. Unfortunately, we didn't see that translate in the match. We had moments of it but we couldn't keep the ball in our hands. We knew going into this game that they have a very powerful offense and so we covered the importance of first ball sideouts but we just let them go on runs of 3-4 points and we couldn't catch back up, we were constantly playing from behind. Blocking was another stressor in practice, especially knowing they have strong hitters, it's even something we work on every day, but we struggled adjusting to their fast-paced offense and there's only so many times you can dig a ball without finding a way to terminate on our side."
BBCC prepares for back to back to back road trips as they face off versus Spokane Falls CC on Wednesday September 25th and battle it out versus Blue Mountain CC on Friday September 27th.
