The Lady Vikings volleyball team traveled to Springfield Oregon over the weekend and picked up three wins to open their season at the Northwest Athletic Conference's (NWAC) Fall Festival held at the Boob Keefer Center.

Big Bend got off to a slow start with some first-day jitters dropping their first two matches to Rogue Community (0-2) College and Southwest Oregon (0-2) before bouncing back in its third match on Friday to earn a sweep of College of the Redwoods (2-0). BBCC would drop its final Saturday match to Mt. Hood CC (2-1) to close out the first day of action.

It would seem as the Lady Vikings got a great night's rest because they returned to the Bob Keefer Center inspired on Saturday to pick up sweeps over both Everett (2-0) and Columbia Basin (2-0) and finish the tournament strong with a 3-3 record.

The Lady Vikings have some time to work out the kinks during the next few weeks before they hit the hardwood again on September 7th at the Highline Fall Classic in Des Moines, WA.
