The Lady Vikes fell to 3-8 in the East Region on Wednesday night with a 64-41 loss to North Idaho College. The Cardinals are currently tied for third place in the region with Wenatchee Valley.

Big Bend stayed in the game early only trailing by 4 points after the first quarter, but NIC would increase their lead to double-figures and take a 17-point lead into the locker room. The blue and green had a tough time trying to put a dent in that lead the rest of the night eventually taking the loss at home.

Maelyn Mace led the offensive charge for Big Bend with 13 points (3 rebounds 2 steals) while Savana Stephenson put together a solid performance of 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Anna Yarbro continued her consistent play on the glass grabbing double-digit (10) rebounds and also adding 9 points. Yarbro is averaging 13.1 rebounds per game, third-best in NWAC, and currently leads the conference with a total of 315.

The Lady Vikes (11-13, 3-8) look to bounce back from a two-game skid when they host a tough Yakima Valley (18-6, 8-3) squad on Saturday.
