Both Big Bend Community College will be looking for their first wins in a few weeks on Saturday when they make the road trip to Pendleton, OR to take on Blue Mountain. Wenatchee Valley swept the Vikings on Wednesday night at home putting both the Runnin' Vikes and Lady Vikes losing streaks at four games.

Wenatchee 62, Lady Vikes 51

The Lady Knights never ran away with the game but were able to keep Big Bend at an arm's length throughout the night. The Lady Vikes were just unable to put together a run at any time to get them back in contention.

Anna Yarbro put up another strong performance scoring 15 points and pulling down 8 rebounds. The sophomore from Moses Lake is still one of the conference leaders in rebounding averaging 13.1 per game trailing only one player by .5 rebounds per game.

Savana Stephenson and Kaitlyn Callahan scored 8 points each, Stephenson also pulled down 9 rebounds.

Wenatchee 81, Runnin' Vikes 71

It was a similar story for the Big Bend men against Wenatchee. They were never out of the game, but the Runnin' Vikes were never able to put together that strong run that would allow them to take the lead.

The Vikings Jaden Brown led the charge offensively scoring 23 points with Jahvontae Jones adding 16. Payton Nielsen chipped in 11 points and 9 boards with Jonathon Thomas also finishing in double-digits scoring 10 points (6 rebounds).

On Saturday at Blue Mountain, the Lady Vikes (9-11, 1-6) are scheduled to tip-off at 2 p.m. with the Runnin' Vikes (7-14, 1-6) to follow at 4 p.m. You can stream the game live on the BMCC Athletics YouTube channel.
