Lady Vikes Fall to 1 and 2 Seed

The Lady Vikes knew they had their work cut out for them going into this week by going on the road to face off against the two top teams in the Eastern Region with the undefeated Walla Walla Warriors and the two seed North Idaho Cardinals.

The Lady Vikes opened up the week in Walla Walla on Tuesday May 3rd and ran into an unstoppable Warrior offense. BBCC put together a stellar offensive showing but could not keep up with the high powered Walla Walla offense. The lady Vikes scored 21 runs over the two games but that was no match for the 48 that Walla Walla was able to put on the board resulting in 20-10 and 28-11 losses. Marleigh Horrock went 3-6 in the series with a home run, 2 RBI's along with scoring 3 times, Arianna Christensen was also 3-6 with a home run and 4 RBI's while scoring twice, Britney Brklacich went 3-8 over the two game set while driving in 4 runs and Truh Merriman got it going in game 2 going 2-4 with a home run and 6 RBI's.

After a tough couple losses, the road did not get any easier for the Lady Vikes as they traveled to North Idaho College to take on yet another difficult team. Another tough day for the Lady Vikes as they fell by scores of 16-11 and 18-1 pushing them into the 4 seed in the East two games behind Columbia Basin College and two games ahead of Treasure Valley Community College.

The Lady Vikes wrap up their 2022 regular season by hosting North Idaho on Friday May 13th followed by hosting Spokane Falls on Saturday May 14th.
