Men's Basketball Fall On The Road

Men's Basketball Fall On The Road

Coming off of a blow out victory versus the Treasure Valley Chukars on Monday the Runnin' Vikes planned to continue their momentum as they took on the CBC Hawks in Pasco, WA on Wednesday January 19th. These plans were foiled by the sharp shooting Hawks who shot 57% from behind the arc and combined for 63% shooting from the floor. Although BBCC was unable to keep up with the lights out shooting of the CBC Hawks, the Runnin' Vikes put together a stellar performance shooting 45% from the floor along with 87% from the charity stripe. BBCC was led by KaRon Sears who managed to put up 24 points on 8-14 shooting along with 4 three pointers, DJ Frye chipped in with 18 points and a team leading 6 rebounds while Keenan Miller scored 14 points and collected 5 rebounds as the Vikings fell by a score of 101-76.

Following a tough loss to the Hawks, the Runnin' Vikes planned to get back on track as they traveled to Spokane to take on the Sasquatch on Saturday January 22nd. BBCC trailed by 13 points going into the second half hoping for a comeback, the Vikes managed to outscore the Sasquatch in the second half but fell short with a final score of 83-75. Keenan Miller was the Vikings leading scorer with 19 points and 5 rebounds, DJ Frye managed to collect his first double double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds while Rocco McMakin put on a shooting clinic scoring 16 points in 15 minutes on 6-8 shooting 100% from behind the arc and free throw line.

The Runnin' Vikes take on the Blue Mountain CC Timberwolves on Saturday January 29th at the Devries Activity Center.
