Runnin' Vikes Open Up at Skagit Valley

The Runnin' Vikes opened up their 2021-22 campaign at Skagit Valley Community College for a three game set over Thanksgiving weekend. 

BBCC took on the host on Friday November 26th but fell by a score of 83-66 after struggling on the offensive end, shooting 41% from the field as a team. The Runnin' Vikes distributed the ball extremely well having four out of the starting five posting double digit scoring effort as well as having Zack Englebright chipping in a dozen off of the bench. Keenan Miller, DJ Frye, Aaron Canepari and Ammon Brown combined for 49 of BBCC's 66 points. 

Saturday November 27th the Runnin' Vikes took of the Green River Community College Gators and managed their first victory of the season with a final score of 62-59. Another team effort having eight of nine Vikes collecting at least two points. DJ Frye led the charge recording 17 points and 7 rebounds, as well as KaRon Sears putting up 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals and Aaron Canepari chipping in the 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

The weekend was wrapped up with a nail-biter against Peninsula, but fell by a score of 77-75. Keenan Miller was the stand out of this dramatic contest collecting a team leading and season high 28 points on 10-23 shooting including 3-5 from behind the arc with KaRon Sears also contributing 16 points on 7-11 shooting and 6 rebounds. 

BBCC prepares to take on Lane Community College on December 16th and 17th at the Devries Activity Center in Moses Lake.
