Bunn Commits to Division 1 University - UNC

First Team All-American, NWAC Player of the Year and Team Captain Austin Bunn has committed to take his talents to The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, an NCAA Division 1 school that  competes in the Summit League Conference. A well deserved opportunity for Bunn as he dominated the NWAC as a freshman in 2021 leading the league in most offensive categories hitting .397 with 9 home runs, 9 doubles and 30 RBI's over 24 games. 

Bunn had this to say regarding his experience at BBCC: "My life here at Big Bend has been the best two years of my life. I'm so glad I made the decision to play at Big Bend Community College. I made life long friendships along with a coaching staff to make me the player I am today."

A high quality individual, player and student, Bunn had many different opportunities to continue his athletic and academic journey. Bunn had this to say regarding his commitment decision: "My decision came down to what was the best fit for me and where I could develop as a student athlete. UNC became the best pick."
