NWAC Announces Basketball Awards

On Monday afternoon, the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) released its 2022-2023 NWAC Basketball All-Region Awards, as voted on by the coaches.

For the Lady Vikings, sophomore Ambra Hacker was named NWAC 1st-Team All-Region, after leading the Lady Vikings in scoring (15.6ppg) while averaging 6.7rpg. Additionally, sophomore Callie Tolman was named to the NWAC All-Defensive Team. On the season, Tolman averaged 13.9ppg and 4.5rpg. Together, Hacker and Tolman helped the Lady Vikings to a 15-13 overall record.

For the men, sophomore DJ Frye was named to the NWAC All-Defensive Team, after leading the Vikings in scoring (15.3ppg) and in rebounding (7.6rpg) on the season. Frye recently commited to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Park University in Gilbert, AZ. On the season, the Vikings struggled to a 4-21 finish.
