Women's Basketball Winning Streak Ends at 10

The Lady Vikes took on the Columbia Basin College Hawks on January 19th in Pasco, WA. Looking to extend their winning streak to double digits the Lady Vikes battled back after trailing by 12 going into the final quarter. After putting up 17 points in the first half BBCC turned it on and scored 44 points in the second half completing an extraordinary comeback defeating the Hawks by a score of 61-55. A true team effort as 4 of the 5 Viking starters compiled double digit points. Callie Tolman scored a bakers dozen along with 5 assists, Morgan Rushton collected her second double double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds with Mia Nottingham following closely behind with 10 points and 8 rebounds and Kaitlyn Callahan rounding out the starters with 11 points and 6 rebounds leading the Lady Vikes to their 10th straight victory.

 

Coming off an emotional victory versus the Hawks, the Lady Vikes headed to Spokane Falls CC to take on the Sasquatch for their third game of the week. The Sasquatch came out firing shooting 65% from the floor making Saturdays game a challenge. The Lady Vikes were unable to keep up with the sharp shooting Spokane line up and fell by a score of 81-55. Kaitlyn Callahan was the lone standout for BBCC putting up 15 points on 5-7 shooting while the remainder of the team combined for 9-42 shooting.

 

Coming off a long week of competition the Lady Vikes plan to rest up and prepare for Saturday January 29th as the take one the Blue Mountain CC Timberwolves at the Devries Activity Center.
