Lady Vikes Fall To Squatch and Cardinals

The Lady Vikes faced off against the Spokane Falls Community College Sasquatch on Wednesday September 28th at the Devries Activity Center coming off a 5 set victory versus the Chukars of Treasure Valley. 

Unfortunately the Lady Vikes fell in three straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-22 and 25-19. Grace Fedie led the Viking offense with 8 kills while collecting 7 digs while Nayelie Alvarez added 6 kills and 5 digs. Jordyn Adams put together a well rounded performance with 7 kills and 21 digs. Although a stellar effort the Lady Vikes could not hold off the Sasquatch of Spokane. 

Game two of the week came on Friday September 30th against the only undefeated team in the Eastern Conference in the North Idaho Cardinals. A similar story to their Wednesday match the Lady Vikes fell in 3 straight sets by scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-19. Familiar names made their way onto the score sheet with Grace Fedie leading the team in kills with 9 and collecting 12 digs, along with Jordyn Adams and Nayelie Alvarez adding 8 kills a piece. Adams was the defensive stand out with 16 digs, totalling 37 digs on the week. 

The Lady Vikes hit the road as they take on the Walla Walla Warriors on Friday October 7th in Walla Walla, WA followed by battling it out with the Yakima Valley Yaks at home on Monday October 10th.
