Lady Vikes Outlast Chukars

Lady Vikes Outlast Chukars

The Viking Volleyball team took the win on Saturday afternoon against the visiting Chukars of Treasure Valley CC in five sets: 23-25, 25-17, 14-25, 25-21, 15-9.  The win comes after the Vikings travelled to Columbia Basin College on Friday against the second ranked Hawks and suffered a tough loss against the home team.  Head Coach Michael De Hoog stated "This was a big win for us.  We've played against six of the top ten ranked teams in the pre-season.  You don't always get a good gauge of what you are capable of with a young team facing those kind of teams.  We've been close, so it's nice to see the effort pay off in the win column."

Jordyn Adams had a monster game with 10 kills, 4 assists, 3 aces and a season high 23 digs. Grace Fedie also had a stellar showing collecting 9 kills and 20 digs while Laura Forsgren served as the main facilitator with 24 assists, 24 digs and adding 4 kills to lead the Lady Vikes to victory. A well rounded team effort with BBCC accumulating 36 kills and 111 digs.

The Lady Vikes prepare for another home game as they host the Spokane Falls Sasquatch on Wednesday September 28th at the Devries Activity Center at 6:00PM
