Lady Vikes Crush Cancer

With their final home game of October, the Lady Vikes recognized Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink uniforms and collecting donations for the American Cancer Society. 

On October 22nd, 2021 Big Bend Community College took on the Treasure Valley Community College Chukars at the Devries Activity Center. The Lady Vikes brought their "A" game on this special night playing one of their best matches of the season taking three straight sets. BBCC came out firing taking the first set by a score of 25-17. After a well executed first set the Lady Vikes improved in each of the following sets taking the second set by a score of 25-15 and the third and final set by a score of 25-12. 

The Lady Vikes were led offensively by Elli Rodgers who set a season high in kills with 17 with a .556 kill percentage, along with Gabriella Rios who contributed 16 kills in the Viking victory. Myah Gallinger was the main facilitator on the offensive end handing out 33 assists on the Lady Vikes 40 total kills. Defensively, BBCC had all players contributing collecting at least 2 digs, Lacey Dalling and Mya Buchert led on the defensive end leading the team with double digit digs. 

After a great team victory the Lady Vikes hit the road to take on the Blue Mountain Community College Timberwolves on October 30th in Pendleton, OR followed by a home game versus Wenatchee Valley on November 3rd at the Devries Activity Center.
