Lady Vikes Winning Streak Ends At Three

Coming off three straight victories the Lady Vikes hoped to continue their success as they took on Spokane Falls Community College at the Devries Activity Center in Moses Lake, WA on Wednesday October 6th. The Lady Vikes battled back and forth against the Sasquatch in the first set pushing it to extra points but ultimately fell 26-24. Moving into the second set BBCC hoped to respond after a hard fought first set but SFCC took the second set by a score of 25-17. With their back against the wall the Lady Vikes turned it on in the third set by taking a commanding lead and not looking back taking the third set by a score of 25-22. Looking to build off of the third set BBCC fought hard in the fourth set but could not complete the comeback by losing the final set by a score of 25-18. Led offensively by Gabriella Rios and Elli Rodgers compiling a total of 31 of the Vikings 40 kills. On the defensive end the Lady Vikes collected a total of 71 digs with major defensive contributions from Lacey Dalling, Mya Buchert and Gabriella Rios collecting 48 of the 71 digs

After their loss to the Sasquatch on Wednesday, the Lady Vikes hit the road and took on the Walla Walla Warriors in Walla Walla, WA on Friday October 8th. Just as the first set went in their prior match, BBCC battled back and forth and pushed it to extra points but fell by a score of 27-25. The wind seemed to be taken out of the Vikings sails after a tough first set loss and fell in the following two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-18. Once again led offensively by Gabriella Rios with 9 of the Lady Vikes 31 kills, Elli Rodgers and Jacklyn Balfourd also chipped in with 13 kills between them. Mya Buchert was the defensive stand out for BBCC collecting nearly half of the Vikings digs.

The Lady Vikes head to Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA on Wednesday October 13th to take on the Hawks followed by a home game verses the Yakima Valley Community College Yaks on Friday October 15th at the Devries Activity Center.
