Lady Vikes pickup 2 wins over the weekend, start season 3-0

The Lady Vikings continued their non-conference dominance over the weekend earning wins over Eastern Washington and Gonzaga's club teams at home.

Sophomore Kelsey Sorenson had a huge weekend notching two double-doubles scoring 21 points and pulling down 10 rebounds against EWU and then scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against Gonzaga.

Big Bend's scoring was spread out during Friday's game against EWU with Kaitlynn Callahan dropping 14 points (4 rebounds), Maelyn Mace putting up 12 points (7 rebounds) and Kayla Luke adding 8 points and 10 assists.

The Vikings got great efforts from the bench as well with Madi Fillmore, Savana Stepheson, and Emily Gorrell each putting up 10 points in the win.

On Saturday, Anna Yarbro had the hot hand dropping 18 points and grabbing 8 rebounds for Big Ben while Callahan stepped up her game dropping 17 points and adding 9 rebounds.

Luke had another solid effort scoring 16 points while dishing out 9 assists and grabbing 7 rebounds.

The Lady Vikings will be back in action on Dec. 6the competing in the Everett Community College Classic.
