Vikings Baseball Prepare for Opening Day

Vikings Baseball Prepare for Opening Day

The PNW weather has not stopped the Big Bend Vikings Baseball team from preparing for the upcoming 2022 season. As they await the season opener on February 26th versus the Spokane Falls Sasquatch the Vikes have not skipped a beat this off-season. While training at The Six, they have been able to continue to progress in all aspects of the game. The Vikings dove deep into the fundamental and mechanical actions on the offensive, defensive and pitching side of the game allowing them to be a well oiled machine come the new year. Nearing the end of January and the season approaching quickly, BBCC Baseball has transitioned into their "Live" phase, simulating a typical NWAC schedule competing in teams twice a week in a game setting. Live pitching, live hitting, baserunning and game reps for infielders have allowed the Vikings to have a preseason to their preseason.

Under new Head Coach Chase Tunstall, the Vikings Baseball team is excited to compete for an NWAC title and continue to develop as great people, great students and great baseball players.
